Vamp
Privacy Policy
Vamp collects no personal data.
Last updated · Vamp is made by Benjamin Juodvalkis.
What Vamp collects
Nothing. Vamp has no accounts, analytics, advertising or tracking. Vamp for iPad contains no third-party SDKs; Vamp for Mac includes only Sparkle, the open-source updater.
Where your data goes
Vamp talks only to your own Mac, the one running Ableton Live and Vamp. What travels between them — your Live set’s tracks, clips and controls — stays on your devices. It is never sent to me or to anyone else.
Vamp for Mac
Vamp for Mac talks only to your iPad and to Ableton Live on the same Mac. To keep itself up to date it checks GitHub for new versions; that check sends GitHub the app’s version and your macOS version, and nothing personal.
Pairing over Wi-Fi
When a device on Wi-Fi pairs with your Mac, a random token is stored on that device and a one-way hash of it is stored on your Mac. Both stay local. You can remove a paired device at any time in Vamp’s Settings.
Logs
Any logs Vamp writes stay on your Mac.
Children
Vamp collects nothing from anyone, children included.
