Kate Mitchell (with Bianca Cabrera, per LA Dance Chronicle)
GOLDEN is a wordless screendance by Kate Mitchell about a middle-aged woman who, after years of repetitive domestic life, rediscovers her independence and emotional and sexual vibrancy. Ben composed the score and separate end-credits music.

- Celebration supper and screening, 2019-12-15, Oakland; Los Angeles Dance Shorts Film Festival, Program 1 (streamed), 2020-11-13; Motion State Arts 2020-2021 Dance Film Series. | [W189] Kate Mitchell says GOLDEN had a long festival run through the end of 2021, delayed by the pandemic, with showings in the US and Canada, Europe, the UK, South America and Australia. In-person screenings included an outdoor park in Austin, TX, a theater in Italy and a drive-in in Norway. Local screening: "Dance Before the Camera", May 20–21, 2022, 8pm, Western Sky Studios, 2525 Eighth St, Berkeley, CA. The shoot was postponed in January 2018; filming and other activity appear in Gmail July–August 2019.
