Melecio Estrella (BANDALOOP)

A BANDALOOP vertical dance tribute to Black Panther Party co-founder Huey P. Newton, developed with Fredrika Newton of the Dr. Huey P. Newton Foundation and performed at Pantherfest 2023 in downtown Oakland on October 22, 2023. Ben's score, about five minutes long, layers piano and drums with Newton's recorded voice and Bobby Seale speaking about Newton and the Ten-Point Program.
